The MOB is STATE-BOUND!
The Mighty Owl Band has secured their spot for the State UIL Marching Contest, which will be held on November 4th at the Alamodome.
This year, we are excited to have 12 of our McDowell students marching with the HS band, as well as 11 of our students assisting as Smurfs! These students have put in months of hard work preparing for this opportunity!

Literacy & Math Initiative -- HISD Career Opportunity
Hondo ISD is hiring a Program Coordinator, Math Tutor, and Literacy Tutor to support literacy and math initiatives and help students build stronger academic foundations.
Fall Band Concert
Please join us on Tuesday, October 27th for the McDowell Middle School Band Fall Concert at the HS Fine Arts Center. Concert will begin at 7pm. HISD Clear Bag Policy will be in effect.

Please join us on Thursday, October 22nd at the HHS Fine Arts Building from 5-7pm for an Art Show featuring art from both McDowell students and HHS art students. There will also be craft stations and live printing demonstrations.
